Summers in Gujarat are notoriously brutal. With temperatures soaring, maintaining proper hydration and electrolyte balance is essential to prevent heat exhaustion and fatigue. While the market is full of neon-colored sports drinks and glucose powders, they are heavily loaded with refined sugar and artificial flavors. Nature provides a much better solution.
The Natural Electrolyte Drink
Raw honey is an excellent base for a natural hydration drink. While honey provides sustained energy (as discussed in our pre-workout guide), adding a pinch of salt provides the critical electrolytes lost through sweat.
The Recipe:
- 1 Glass of cool filtered water (or earthen pot water)
- 1 Tablespoon of NIYANTA Multiflora Honey
- 1 Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- A small pinch of Himalayan pink salt or black salt (Kala Namak)
Stir vigorously until the honey dissolves. This drink instantly replenishes sodium and potassium, while the raw honey provides a gentle, crash-free energy lift. Drink this after coming indoors from the afternoon sun to feel instantly revived.
